At the time the principal of the farmhouse probably didn't know what to name his new home. He must have given his "fantasy" free play. The house simply asks for it.

The front of the farmhouse looks more like a castle than like a farming. The rounding at the front behind which the outside staircase, leading to the former hayloft, hides itself, would not be unbecoming of a real castle. Under those stairs the pigs used to live.

In the hayloft is a cosy appartment for 2 persons, from where the view over the farmlands, the hills and the valleys is very, very pretty.

The oldest part of the farmhouse, the former living-area, dates from the seventeenth century. This part has meanwhile been converted into a comfortable gite.

Only the well-known thick walls of the stable which was added on later, have remained. Inside a modern living accomodation, provided with all sorts of modern conveniences, has been built. Over the livingquarters are one single bedroom and the doublerooms for chambres d'hôtes.

Round the yard are a cowhouse, used as a workshop, and a horse-stable. Strolling through the farmyards or through the neighbouring forest you can hear and see many birds. When it is drawing towards twilight the deer appear.

If cycling is not your favourite pastime you can get rid of your energy on our own petanquecourt. And of course the big stone barbeque will also be at your disposal if you wish to continue the pleasant evening after an exciting match!

If you happen to be our guest during harvesting-time you are free to pick strawberries, pears, apples, plums and hazelnuts yourself.
